For over a century, Galveston beachgoers have flocked in droves to the beaches that line historic Seawall Blvd. During your downtime, visit the Seawall Beach and get your dose of "vitamin sea." Walk up to one of the many beach concessionaires to rent a chair/ umbrella for a new level of relaxation.
Galveston Duck Tours offers a unique way of seeing the island. Tours start at 25th street and Seawall Blvd. next to Pleasure Pier. This is a great way to see much of Galveston Island without having to drive anywhere. "The Duck" even proceeds to enter the water for a truly unique experience.
Located only .4 miles from the Grand Galvez, The Bryan Museum is perfect for those who want to immerse themselves in history and the arts. The museum houses one of the world's largest collections of historical artifacts, documents, and artwork relating to the American West.
Restored in 1895, this Galveston landmark was originally the home of one of the country's wealthiest people in the 1950s, W.L. Moody, Jr. The property is still full of original family memorabilia and is a great way to experience Galveston's old-world charm.
