Howl-O-Ween Ghost Wolf Expo at Moody Gardens
Spend a Saturday on Galveston Island getting to know the island's ghost wolves at the Howl-O-Ween Ghost Wolf Expo. The expo takes place at the Moody Gardens 3D Theater inside Moody Gardens, home of the Rainforest and Aquarium Pyramids, the Moody Gardens Hotel, Spa & Convention Center and the Moody Gardens Golf Course, at 1 Hope Boulevard in Galveston.
From 9 AM to 1 PM, an interactive village lets you meet experts working to preserve the area's natural treasures, including the Endangered Wolf Center, Gulf Coast Canine Project, Turtle Island Restoration Network, Artist Boat, Galveston Island Nature Tourism Council, Armand Bayou Nature Center, Karankawas Peoples of the Gulf Coast, Galveston Bay Foundation, Surfrider Foundation, Texas Parks & Wildlife Galveston Island State Park, Vision Galveston and the Texas Department of Transportation.
From 10 AM to 12 PM, the expo shares exciting news from the Endangered Wolf Center in St. Louis, Missouri, and explains how ghost wolf DNA is helping with endangered red wolf recovery.
At 2 PM, the celebration moves to Galveston Island Brewing for a special Howl-O-Ween Fest, with a special prize for the best ghost wolf costume and a rebrew of GIB's Gulf Ghost Red Lager, back by popular demand. Galveston Island Brewing is family friendly for all ages.
