Boat Rentals

In Galveston, you’re never far from the water, and you can get even closer with a boat rental. Whether you want to paddle a kayak or prefer to charter a motorboat with a captain, there are many options from which to choose.

  • Galveston Island Boat Rentals offers pontoon boats that seat 10–12 passengers and smaller fishing boats that seat 5–7 people. Reservations are required and can be made online.
  • At Finney Boat & Watersport Rentals, you can find boats ranging from single-person kayaks to a luxurious 40-foot yacht, plus everything in between. All rentals are by reservation only.

Fishing Gear

With easily accessible public fishing piers and beachfront rock jetties, Galveston offers an abundance of fishing spots to satisfy both beginners and expert anglers. Several shops rent the gear you need to reel in your catch.

  • Galveston Bait & Tackle has a wide selection of tackle, rods, reels, and supplies, as well as fresh live bait, parking, an on-site boat ramp, and a fish-cleaning table.
  • K6 Island Sports stocks rods, reels, and more, and they also sell fishing licenses.

Bikes & Accessories

Explore the town on two wheels with a bike—or try out a surrey to pedal with the whole family! Need an extra boost? Consider an electric bike, which features a battery-powered motor.

  • Coastal Bike Rentals offers hourly rentals of classic cruiser and electric bikes, plus two, four, and six-seat surreys. Rentals can be booked in advance online.
  • Located right on Galveston Beach, Seawall Souvenirs & Bike Rental rents surrey and electric bikes, and they also sell beach towels, apparel, and souvenirs.
  • Joy Bike Rental & Gift Shop is located at 3114 Seawall Boulevard and rents bikes and surreys.
  • Zipp E-Bikes is located in the heart of Galveston’s historic district. Only one block from the Strand and a short walk from the Galveston Cruise Ship terminal we are in the perfect location to begin and end an E-bike adventure.
Bikes & Accessories

Island Bicycle Co. offers cruiser and tandem bikes, plus bike trailers that can accommodate two small children. There are also single surreys for two adults and two kids, limo surreys for four adults with two kids, and a super deluxe surrey that fits six adults and two kids. Rentals can be booked online, and the shop also provides maps for self-guided bike tours, so you can check out the island at your own pace.

With 32 miles of shoreline, Galveston is the perfect spot for some sandy rest and relaxation. Local rental services have everything you need to enjoy your day at the beach, including chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, and more.

East Beach Cantina and Rentals offers beach fare food and drink as well as beach-side food and beverage service, chair, umbrella and cabana rentals. We also have all of your beach must haves like sunscreen, boogie boards and more available for purchase.

Beach Service LLC provides daily rentals of beach chairs and umbrellas. Find them directly on the beach at 47th Street and Seawall, across from the Academy store. Note that rentals are cash-only and available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
