Mark your calendar for the 2nd Annual Galveston Island Esports Summit, August 27 – 29, 2021, Galveston Island Convention Center, and plan to attend the most exciting event you will ever experience. Esports is the fastest-growing entertainment sport in the world and this event is packed with fun and one-of-a-kind experiences for all ages, ranging from tournaments, virtual reality, board games, interactive pods, and more. The Galveston Island Esports Summit is an opportunity to look, learn and participate hands-on. Transport yourself into games through virtual reality headsets, try out the latest games at play stations set on free play, immerse yourself in a simulator pod where you can battle other pilots in a virtual world, fight one-on-one or on a team – then watch a review of your game and receive a scoresheet to prove your superiority! Visit the US Army Esports mobile facility and experience Scorpion Battle Stations, tour the International Space Station virtually, see the Mars Rover up close and personal, watch the GISD Championship Robotics team battle it out, watch fast-paced, high action tournaments on a super-sized LED screen, meet esports pros and watch them play, try out the latest games at pre-set stations, or go back in time and play in the Retro Tabletop Games area. All levels of games for all ages. Informative panels will feature Esports celebrities and Epic Power Breaks are presented by Steve Isaacs.

Available Friday only is Esports: the New Club Toolkit, a workshop for educators who want to earn CEU’s, presented by GISD and the Texas Scholastics Esports Federation. Registration online.
