Visit Galveston is here to assist journalists and media members with their stories about attractions, dining, and events in Galveston, TX. Read our guidelines for press visits.
Thank you for your interest in Galveston Island. The goal of Visit Galveston is to assist travel writers in developing itineraries and to facilitate visits to attractions, cultural venues and other points of interest that will cover their articles, books and broadcasts.
We receive a considerable number of requests from journalists seeking media privileges. As a result and to most effectively meet your editorial, photographic and/or broadcast needs, we ask for your cooperation in the following guidelines when requesting a press visit.
Please note that discounted or complimentary arrangements are provided at the discretion of the host business and are subject to availability. Black out periods may be experienced throughout the year that may affect the possibility of a hotel press rate, such as during peak summer season or during Mardi Gras. A familiarization tour for Mardi Gras is scheduled each year. If you are specifically interested in Mardi Gras, please notify Mary Beth Bassett, at email@example.com by December 1.
Please understand that our primary concern is assisting the working press. Host locations are not always able to accommodate spouses, children and visitors accompanying the working press.
Again, thank you for your interest in Galveston Island. We look forward to assisting you with your research.
