WALKtoberFEST 2026
Spend a fall Saturday strolling through Downtown Galveston during WALKtoberFEST 2026, hosted by the Galveston Golf Cart Society. Taking place Saturday, October 10, this walking poker run invites participants to visit participating locations throughout downtown while collecting poker chips and enjoying games along the route.
At the end of the event, participants can turn in their best poker hand for a chance to win cash prizes. First place will receive $600, second place will receive $300, and third place will receive $200. Games along the route also give participants opportunities to earn raffle tickets for additional prizes, including shopping, dining, and drinks around town.
Advance registration is $30 per person and is available through October 9. Day-of registration is $35 and begins at 11:00 a.m. on October 10 at The Naked Iguana. The first 90 registered participants will receive an 8-ounce commemorative WALKtoberFEST stein and a goodie bag.
WALKtoberFEST offers a fun way to experience Downtown Galveston on foot while visiting participating local businesses and competing for prizes along the way.
