Oktoberfest at Galveston Island Brewing
Break out your lederhosen and dirndls for two days of Oktoberfest fun at Galveston Island Brewing. The celebration features seasonal German-inspired beers, Bavarian-style food, commemorative glassware, contests and live music for a festive weekend on Galveston Island.
Guests can fill commemorative 0.7-liter Mermaid Steins or 16-ounce Tankard glasses with one of three Oktoberfest releases: Märzen-style Oktoberfest, Drunk Dunkel Dark Lager or Munich Helles. Oktoberfest attire is encouraged but not required, and the event is free to attend.
Friday, October 2 | 5:00 to 10:00 p.m.
5:00 p.m. | Ceremonial barrel tapping and free beer until the barrel runs dry
6:00 p.m. | Best Stein Awards, including prizes for the oldest, most ornate and biggest steins
Saturday, October 3 | 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

2:00 p.m. | Kid's Masskrugstemmen, a stein-holding competition
3:00 p.m. | Mr. & Mrs. Oktoberfest crowning and costume contest
4:00 p.m. | Men's and Women's Masskrugstemmen competitions
5:00 to 8:00 p.m. | Live music from Kevin Anthony & G-Town
The Oktoberfest celebration takes place rain or shine.
