Head to Galveston's red hot Yaga's Chili Quest, Beers & Cheers for serious chili sampling, live music, a 5K fun run/walk, and more in Historic Downtown Galveston.

Chili Quest consists of the ever-so-popular Chili & Beer tasting with a ton of added perks. Get ready for Chili Sampling, live music, a 5K Fun Run/Walk, a washer pitching tournament, a jackpot margarita contest, vendors and a historical strand merchant walk-about.

Chili Cook-Off and Sampling

Whip up a batch of your best chili recipe and bring it on down to the Galveston Historical Strand.

Compete for the gold and Chili Champion bragging rights. Although every chili has its own unique taste, they can’t all be winners. Here is your chance to light up those judges’ taste buds and show ‘em what you got!

5K Fun Run

Put your BEERFOOT in front of the other in this BREWtiful 5K Fun Run happening at Beerfoot Brewery on Seawall Blvd on Galveston Island! The Beerfooter Beach Run is sure to put some pep in your step and beer in your belly! You are invited to join the fun after the race for some devouring warm chili and cold brews. WARNING: Crazy outfits and team enthusiasm is EXTREMELY encouraged.

Do I need a ticket to go to the festival?

Public Chili Sampling may be purchased in advance or day of at the Information Booth located at 2302 Strand. (while tickets last)

How do I sample Chili?

To sample chili from the Cook Teams a Public Chili Sampling Ticket must be purchased in advance or day-of.

How do I register my Cook Team?

Teams can register for the Chili Cook-Off here.

Cash-only parking lots are located at:
