Kathleen Maca is a local historian, tour guide and author of books about Galveston’s past, including A History of the Hotel Galvez, Galveston’s Broadway Cemeteries, Ghosts of Galveston, Ghostly Tales of Galveston, and the upcoming History of Tremont House Hotel. A Certified Tourism Ambassador for the city, Kathleen is also a member of the Galveston Historical Foundation, Association of Gravestone Studies, and has been featured on local and national television and radio, sharing her love of local history.
