Galveston Esports Summit Pushed To 2023

The Galveston Esports Summit producers have announced that the event has been pushed to August 25 – 27, 2023, due to supply chain issues. The 2023 event is confirmed to take place at the Galveston Island Convention Center at the San Luis Resort, 5700 Seawall Boulevard.

Mary Jo Naschke, co-producer of the event stated, ”We are very disappointed to have to push the date to 2023, and the decision was a very hard one to make. We could not be guaranteed that we would have the equipment that we need to present a first- rate event again this year. Our participants have come to expect a quality experience, and we did not want to disappoint them. Our tournaments grew tremendously from the first year to the second and we have a great deal of interest from competitors wanting to register for 2023. One of our primary sponsors and director of the tournaments, the US Army, concurred with our decision and have confirmed their return in 2023. We have been assured that we will have the quantity of equipment we need for the next Esports Summit.

Pushing the event has enabled Naschke and her Co-Producer, Johnny Steverson, to build the 2023 event’s programming and they have added one of the top US Esports professional teams and the US Navy to the confirmed list of next year’s participants.

The summit earned a solid reputation as a quality Esports Summit when it was successfully introduced and presented to the market during the beginning and height of the COVID pandemic in 2020 and 2021. Outstanding staging, presentations and activities is what sets this event above the rest. “We strive to be the best, not the biggest Esports Summit and will continue to pursue that goal” added Naschke.

Sponsors of the 2021 Galveston Esports Summit were Generation Moody, Galveston ISD, Landry’s, Galveston CVB, Dell Technologies, US Army, US Marines, Joe Tramonte Real Estate, Tom’s Galveston Real Estate, Sand n Sea Properties, Cuervo Traditional, Moody Bank, Six Foot, Prosperity Bank, and Ryson Real Estate. Professional services are provided by M.J. Naschke Public Relations,, and PR Celebrity.

Supporters are asked to add the event to their 2023 calendar and the producers confirm it will return.
