Steve Wray's Surfboard Collection at The Texas Surf Museum
Steve Wray packs 6 self-painted boards full of insane heat in his truck and drives them all the way up to the Texas Surf Museum.
His collection opens March 5th – and will also be on display during ArtWalk.
Steve Wray (b. 1961) is a Houston-born, self-taught artist and lifelong surfer who has been riding waves since 1972.
A phenomenal, fanatical surfboard collector and master of the pen, Wray’s work bypasses traditional art school training in favor of that which Steve feels like making for the people.
His art has been exhibited at the Texas Surf Museum Corpus Christi (closed), the Corpus Christi Art Center, and the Corpus Christi Airport, cementing his place as a staple of the Texas Gulf Coast creative community.
