Special Needs Socialization Camp at Galveston Children's Museum
Every Camp runs Monday-Friday from 9am-3pm
The Galveston Children’s Museum Inclusive Summer Camps are designed specifically for children with higher support needs, including Life Skills students, creating a joyful and enriching summer experience where every camper is encouraged to learn, play, explore, and belong.
Led by familiar GISD educators and paraprofessionals experienced in supporting children with diverse learning, communication, sensory, and behavioral needs, our camps provide a safe, structured, and welcoming environment where campers can build confidence, friendships, creativity, and independence through hands-on exploration and play.
Each themed week features engaging activities tailored to camper needs, including sensory experiences, art, music and movement, science exploration, storytelling, games, and creative projects. Flexible supports, individualized encouragement, and a predictable daily routine help campers feel comfortable, successful, and included while still experiencing the fun and excitement of a traditional summer camp.
Many campers will see familiar educators and support staff they already know and trust, helping families feel confident their child is supported by compassionate and experienced professionals. Our goal is to create meaningful summer memories filled with laughter, discovery, friendship, and joy while giving every child the opportunity to experience the magic of camp.
Held at Moody Methodist, Inclusive Summer Camps run Monday–Friday from 9 AM–3 PM. Families may register for one week or the full summer. Space is intentionally limited to help ensure individualized support and a positive experience for every camper.
