Haunted Railyard & Strand Ghost Tour with Kathleen Maca
All Aboard for Galveston's Haunted History! Step into Galveston's eerie past with Kathleen Maca, the author of Ghosts of Galveston and five books on island history, and the island's foremost authority on the dead who refuse to leave the island. Along the historic Strand and deep inside an exclusively accessed, famously haunted railyard, she'll uncover the chilling stories of Civil War spirits, lingering victims of the Great 1900 Storm, along with heroes and scoundrels whose presences have never quite departed.
Walk at a leisurely pace through streets where shadows linger and forgotten voices whisper. And if something unseen tugs at your sleeve, or a sudden chill finds you on a warm Gulf night... that's simply their way of saying hello. Your guide has spent over 50 years researching historic cemeteries and folklore. Her tours come recommended by the Texas Historic Commission, Texas Monthly, and Texas Highways, and she has been named Certified Tourism Ambassador of the Year for 2026.
Not recommended for children under 13. Come ready to believe!
