42nd Annual Galvston Island Greek Festival
A celebration of the Hellenic culture, this event is a lively experience featuring Greek food, wine, beer, pastries and commemorative items. The inspiring traditional menu is prepared using family recipes using only the freshest ingredients. Shared through generations, the Greek plate is a sampling of popular dishes including pastitsio, meatballs, dolmades, olives, salad, feta cheese, tiropita, spanakopita, and pita bread. Outside under the big tent is tantalizing and aromatic Greek Street Food from souvlaki to gyros, served with ya’sou and opa! No one leaves a Greek home hungry, so we offer vegetarian plates and am abundance of sweets! Pastry selections include baklava, kourambiedes, melomakaronda, koulourakia, and Loukoumades. Indulge in fresh bread loaves available in limited quantities so get there early to purchase. All food and pastries are available to go. No admission fee: Donations appreciated. Tickets for food, drink and merchandise sold in $2 increments. Exact cash and credit cards accepted.
