East Beach (R.A. Apffel)
Located at the far eastern tip of the island, East Apffel Park (East Beach) is famous for its great festivals and special events held throughout the summer months. The beach park is home to a pavilion, boardwalk and entertainment stage as well as restrooms, showers, chair and umbrella rentals, concessions and other amenities. Unlike most of Galveston’s beaches, alcohol is permitted at East Beach.
Event Area
Beachfront event space for beach weddings and small events is available. Rental rate is $250 for a 3-hour period and $75 per additional hour. Event area is located on the west side of the park approximately 300 yards from the pavilion and is approximately 80 feet wide by 40 feet deep.
Pavilion
Covered open-air pavilion deck space with picnic tables is available for rental for up to 150 guests. Rental rate is $600 for 4 hours and $125 per additional hour. Rentals only available after public hours and must be completed no later than 11 p.m.
