HISTORY:
This gorgeous Victorian townhouse is a 1900 Storm survivor and the 1886 Henry M. and Clara Lang house.
Henry Lang opened his own hardware store, Roll & Lang, after learning the hardware trade from his father, John Lang, who was an early business partner of Ashton Villa’s James Moreau Brown and the J.M. Brown Hardware firm.
The exterior is beautiful with great architectural details. The porch light is gas operated. The interior is beautiful as well. The home has hardwood flooring, tall baseboards, transoms over the doors, and a gorgeous wooden staircase.
This home was on the 2013 Galveston Historical Foundation Home Tour.
