Galveston, Texas (July 15, 2025) Visit Galveston is proud to announce a new strategic partnership with TravPRO Mobile, a leader in digital training and sales enablement, to launch the Galveston Destination Expert Program. This cutting-edge platform will educate and empower more than 80,000 global travel advisors to promote Galveston Island as a premier coastal destination.
The new digital tool, powered by TravPRO’s award-winning Learning & Sales Companion platform, provides travel professionals with on-demand access to training modules, sales resources, insider tips and certification programs. The initiative is part of Visit Galveston’s long-term strategy to elevate destination awareness, support the travel trade community, and drive sustainable tourism growth.
“Our partnership with TravPRO allows us to scale Galveston’s story like never before,” Visit Galveston Executive Director Tony Lyle said. “From historic charm and vibrant festivals to beaches and family fun, this tool helps trip advisors around the world confidently sell the Galveston experience.”
Through the Galveston Destination Expert Program, travel professionals log on to the mobile-first experience to learn more about the island through rich multimedia content, interactive quizzes, and regularly updated itineraries tailored for leisure travelers, groups, and more. Certified specialists will also receive exclusive perks, including marketing assets and eligibility for trips to experience Galveston first-hand.
Once the Galveston curriculum is completed, advisors earn the designation of Galveston Island Pro. This is especially helpful for those who work with the more than one million cruise passengers who sail from Galveston looking for pre- and post-cruise itineraries.
