We Are Galveston is a community driven expression of the people, stories, music, and art that shape this island. The songwriter competition is one way we bring that spirit to life — through original songs written and performed by local voices.

Multiple songwriters will perform their original work, each offering their own perspective, while the community plays a role in helping choose the song that will move forward.
