The Grand Promenade: Easter Bonnet Stroll
A festive Easter Bonnet Stroll through Galveston's beautiful East End Historic District that is free and open to the pubic. Families and children are welcome, as well as well-behaved pets. Creativity. Community. Fabulous hats. Anything goes - from vintage elegance to your best DIY masterpiece! Bring your most fabulous hat.
Where do we walk?
We gather at Darragh Park at 1PM with live music before the stroll at 2PM. Then we promenade down Church Street, through the neighborhood, past two historic churches, turn right at the Scottish Rite and end the celebration at Marmo's patio. This is a 10-15 minute leisurely stroll. Please no golf carts.
What should I wear?
Anything goes! Vintage best, easter bonnets, DIY creations, and full spring drama. The spirit of the promenade is creativity and personal style. A modern easter bonnet is a hat transformed into wearable springtime art.
Rain or shine!
