This 2-mile walking tour takes you on a fascinating journey through historic architecture, as we recount mind-boggling survival stories, sobering tales of death and destruction, inspirational accounts of heroism and bravery, and the innovations and creativity that Galveston embraced to survive! This is our most interactive tour, as guests participate in discussions about the topics of hurricanes, natural disasters, survival stories and resiliency, evacuations, innovations, architecture and history.
The tour leaves from behind the Ashton Villa, and walks through downtown before ending up in the East End Historic District. Walking pace is slow to moderate.
Pricing: $35/ person, with a 20% discount ($28) for youth aged 12-17. The tour is not recommended for children under 12, as the content is focused more towards an adult/ teen audience. The tour takes place rain or shine.
Includes 2.5 hour walking tour, with a 1-hour break for dinner at Shrimp 'N Stuff (Downtown)
