The acclaimed Houston Brass Band joins us for our second Masterworks concert, Brass and Bow— a stirring tribute to 200 years of Norwegian immigration to the United States and the 45-year sister city bond between Houston, Galveston, and Stavanger, Norway.

This vibrant, wide-ranging program features a world premiere with the Houston Brass Band, a U.S. premiere performed by the Galveston Symphony, and exhilarating works by Halvorsen and Shostakovich that unleash the full might of both ensembles united on stage.
