Final Farewell Weekend: Haunted Mayfield Manor & Pirates of the Gulf Coast
Join Haunted Mayfield Manor for one last haunting! After nearly 15 years of thrills, scares, and swashbuckling fun, Haunted Mayfield Manor and Pirates of the Gulf Coast will close their doors forever on Monday, September 8, 2025 — the 125th Anniversary of the 1900 Storm.
About the 1900 Storm:
On September 8, 1900, Galveston was forever changed by the deadliest natural disaster in U.S. history. With winds estimated over 140 mph and a massive storm surge, more than 6,000 lives were lost. In the storm’s aftermath, Galveston’s role as a major port declined, leading to the creation of the Houston Ship Channel and transforming Houston into a commercial giant.
The building housing Haunted Mayfield Manor once served as one of the temporary morgues after the storm. Over the years, we’ve kept its history alive while bringing you unforgettable haunted experiences and pirate adventures.
