Opened in 2006, Schlitterbahn Galveston expanded the Texas-based waterpark family with a Gulf Coast destination. The park quickly became known for MASSIV, the world’s tallest water coaster at the time of its debut, and for blending indoor and outdoor attractions suited to Galveston’s changing weather.
