Galveston Bookshop
Galveston Bookshop
Galveston Bookshop is a longtime downtown destination for used and new books, local titles, vinyl records, comics, and collectibles.
Established in 1991, the independent bookstore carries more than 70,000 used books organized by category, along with new titles and harder-to-find editions. Its location in the Historic Strand District puts readers close to downtown shopping, dining, entertainment, and the cruise terminals.
The shop has a particularly strong connection to Galveston history and literature. Its collection includes in-print and out-of-print books about the island, works by local authors, historical titles, and fiction set in Galveston. The store also maintains the Galveston Bibliography Database, documenting books related to Galveston and Galveston County.
