Carr Mansion
A restored 19th-century Greek Revival estate offering boutique rooms and gathering space in Galveston's East End.
Carr Mansion blends historic architecture with modern design, located just blocks from the Seawall and The Strand. Each guest room carries a story tied to the estate’s past, offering a stay that connects Galveston’s history with present-day comfort.
Built in 1866 by Lewis W. Carr, the home later belonged to Texas Governor Richard Coke and was expanded by architect Nicholas Clayton. The mansion survived the Great Storm of 1900 and was fully restored in 2018 as a bed and breakfast, preserving its place in Galveston’s story.
