Galveston Children's Museum Summer Camps
Looking for an unforgettable summer experience for your child in Galveston?
The Galveston Children’s Museum Summer Camps combine hands-on learning, creativity, and all-day fun inside our interactive, air-conditioned museum designed just for kids.
Perfect for both local families and visitors to the island, our educator-led camps keep children engaged through screen-free activities that spark creativity, curiosity, confidence, and connection. Whether you’re planning a full summer of enrichment or looking for exciting activities during your Galveston vacation, our camps offer flexible options for every family.
Each themed camp features interactive experiences like science experiments, art projects, engineering challenges, sensory play, storytelling, cooking activities, games, and museum exploration. Many camp themes were inspired directly by camper feedback, so kids are exploring topics they’re genuinely excited about.
Select camps also include special guest experiences with local authors, artists, Texas A&M Galveston faculty and staff, and other community experts who help bring each theme to life. Our Creator Camp programs, known throughout the Houston and Austin areas, give young creators opportunities to explore filmmaking, digital storytelling, game design, and creative technology in a supportive environment.
Summer Camps run Monday–Thursday from 9 AM–3 PM, with optional extended care available until 5 PM for working families. Families can also register for individual Fun Friday camps throughout the summer for additional flexibility during vacation season.
Campers are grouped by age, with flexibility for siblings who would like to stay together. Space is limited, and many camp weeks fill quickly.
