2026 Kids Fishing Tournament at The West End Marina & Restaurants

13th Annual West End Anglers Kids Fish 2 Tournament

Young anglers are invited to cast a line in the 13th Annual West End Anglers Kids Fish 2 Tournament, a family-friendly fishing event on Galveston Island that encourages kids and teens to enjoy a day on the water while competing for prizes.

Open to youth ages 12 and under and teens 13–15, the tournament welcomes anglers of all skill levels. Participants can fish by boat, kayak, wading, from the beach, or from the bank within the designated Galveston Bay tournament boundaries. Families are encouraged to fish together, and adults may assist young anglers throughout the day.

Fishing begins at sunrise (6:55 a.m.) on Saturday, August 29, 2026, with weigh-in starting at noon. All contestants must be in the weigh-in line by 1 p.m. An awards ceremony will follow from 1:15–2 p.m. at West End Restaurant & Sand Bar in Sea Isle.

Competitors will have the chance to earn awards in multiple divisions, including largest redfish, trout, flounder, and more. Every registered angler will also receive a Kids Fish 2 Captain's Bag, and all entry fees are returned to participants through prizes. An optional fishing-themed art contest offers another opportunity for young participants to take home an award.

Registration is $20 for youth (ages 12 and under) and $30 for teens (ages 13–15). All anglers must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. The tournament follows all Texas Parks & Wildlife regulations.
