William P. Hobby Airport (HOU) is the closest international airport to Galveston, located about 40 miles or less than an hour from the island. George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) is another option, approximately 70 miles and 80+ minutes away. Once you arrive, transportation options to Galveston include private luxury cars, shuttles, Uber & Lyft, and rental cars.
