Countdown to the release of the first images from the James Webb Space Telescope at the Galveston Children’s Museum.

We are the only location in Galveston County to be selected by NASA selected for the release of images!

Toddlers to teens can enjoy 22 fun, space-related activities at this free event. Stargaze in a portable planetarium, view the sun from a solar telescope, talk to an astronomer from North Houston Astronomy Club, pack a space telescope, learn about star formation, asteroid mining, nebulas, and much more.

Guest speaker Dr Aaron Clevenson will fascinate and delight. This renowned speaker is a NASA Solar System Ambassador, an astronomy professor and author, the Observing Program Director with the Astronomical League and Director of the Insperity Observatory Humble, TX.

The first attendees will receive a commemorative tee-shirt. All attendees will be able to make a picture frame so that when the first images from the Webb telescope are released later in July, they can return to the museum to fill the frame with their own image from space.
