Trinity Episcopal Church in Galveston will host its annual Blessing of the Animals on Sunday, October 9th at 5:30 p.m. on the grass lawn of the church at 22nd and Winnie Streets in Galveston.
Held each year to commemorate the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, the patron saint of animals, the Blessing of the Animals is a free event and open to the public. This year the event will include live music, free snow cones for guests, games for children, and a special treat for each animal that receives a blessing.
Guests are encouraged to bring pet food to donate to the Galveston Island Humane Society. All pets must be on a leash or crated for guest and pet safety.
