“Come and Take It” was the rallying cry at Gonzales in October 1835 when a small group of colonists defied military orders over the possession of a small cannon. By the end of 1835, the colonists had taken control of all military assets in Texas. Learn about the opening months of the Texas Revolution and how Tejanos and Texians worked together to capture Goliad and San Antonio.
