La Izzy Fest 2024 is happening May 3rd, 4th, and 5th at Beach Central in Galveston. This year, we're riding the high tide with a stellar lineup that promises to eclipse all past festivals.
First Wave Lineup Announced:
Kick off the weekend with Free Locals Friday, featuring a Reggae takeover by island fave DEM Roots. Hip-hop legend Bun B returns to the stage, as well as Garrett T Caps and NASA Country, Ghost Wolves, Rich O'Toole, Galvezton, and the zydeco grooves of Rueben Moreno. We're celebrating the rich diversity of Third Coast culture in full swing with a variety of genres, so stay tuned for the 2nd wave announcement of bands.
Surf's Up:
Catch the wave at our longboard surf contest, where local shredders and pros alike will showcase their skills against the backdrop of the Gulf. Categories include Men and Women's surf, Standup Paddleboarding (SUP), and kid's Grom's expression session. This year we'll have a weekend waiting period, so we'll keep an eye on the waves and host the contest on the day with the best surf.
Galactic Family Fun:
Saturday and Sunday are packed with activities for the whole crew. Start your day with Yoga on the Beach, build your dream Sandcastle, get groovy with Hooping, and dive into Art Activities. And, in honor of May the 4th, don your best interstellar attire for our Space-Themed Costume Contest and immerse yourself in groovy Space Decor.
Fuel Up:
Explore our galaxy of flavors at the food vendor area, and quench your thirst with the finest brews from Galveston Island Brewing. We'll have a variety of food trucks, and all kinds of groovy art goods and crafts in our Vendor Village.
VIP Experience:
Elevate your festival experience in our VIP area, featuring a future retro Space Bus in collaboration with The Misfit Krewe – it's bound to be an out-of-this-world hangout spot.
Time Warp:
Blast off at 6 PM on Friday and keep the party orbiting until 11 PM. Saturday's musical journey spans from 10 AM to 11 PM, and Sunday's finale lifts off from 10 AM to 7 PM.
